I finally figured out how to fix the RSS feeds for the blogs. Check out what @Phoenix has been up to with his Treenworks. If anyone else has a blog that they would like to link, let me know & I'll set it up.

Adding to the useful app list Gaia GPS OnX Hunt For help with navigating paper and online maps, here's a great guide for understanding the keys and legends. https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003639928-Map-Legends

  6. For anyone who doesn't have a NJ fishing license or hasn't had one in years, New Jersey does offer a Buddy license program that you can take advantage of. Basically if you are new, you can get your first license for 1/2 off if you go with someone who has an existing license. Might be worth it if you are thinking about coming along for this tournament. Two residents, non-residents, or one each - neither of whom have purchased an annual NJ fishing licenses since 2010. The regular and "Buddy License" fees are as follows: License Regular Price "Fishing Buddy" Price Resident Fishing $22.50 $11.75 Non-Resident Fishing $34.00 $17.50 All-Around Sportsman $72.25 $62.50 The following conditions apply to purchasing the new, discounted "Buddy" license: Discount price is applied to both the current and “Buddy License" buyers. The Buddy Fishing License is available ONLY at license agents; cannot be purchased online. BOTH anglers must be present at the time of purchase.
  7. No. It's a small lake, about 75 acres. Per the county park website: 1 Public Boat Launch – small car top only, no motors permitted
  8. Some more information. This will be multi species tournament. You catch it, it counts. Yes, you will need a NJ fishing license. The lake I am thinking about is Haddon Lake in Mt. Ephraim, NJ. The lake is a trout stocked lake. This will be about 2 or 3 weeks after opening day, so there should still be some available to catch. If you want to target trout, make sure to have your stamp. Also, this lake was stocked with bass last year for the Mike Iconelli kids tournament. That tournament is the week after our date this year, so I wouldn't be surprised if they stock again.

The new version lets me tweak the theme . . . and I haven't quite figured it out yet.

It's kind of how I feel. That's why I'm thinking about changing styles and start putting up my own content instead of trying to create it for others. Kind of like "look here, I went wheeling and this is what I did" instead of asking "who wants to go wheeling?"

Either has he. I've just been letting the site run it's course at this point. I really haven't been getting out much to generate content or anything post-worthy, haven't been doing any mods or maintenance that's worth writing about. I was at a crossroads for a while about trying to bring the "newer" generation of Jeepers here and off of Facebook, as I still feel it's a better platform for organizing conversations and information, but as time goes on, they can all stick to Facebook. I'm not really interested in monthly parking lot meetups. I had thought of starting up a new off-roader section to start getting a few beginner rides together and having online self-guided classes that I briefly wrote about before, but I got to the point where I just didn't want to guide and organize runs every time I get a chance to get out. There's the whole "save Wharton" thing going on too. While I find myself vocal in wanting to educate and promote awareness to wheeling safely and legally, I'm not getting involved with Open Trails NJ. I just don't agree with their core foundation. I mean, even though he's not involved anymore, how could anyone from the past want to be a part of something where Madbenny is the voice of responsible off-roading? I may try to recruit some content creating off-roaders to post and blog here to see if it brings some life back, but we'll see.
  15. Does anyone have experience with the iCatch app? https://icatchapp.com/ I was thinking about giving it a try for this tournament. Basically it lets you photo and measure your catches and keeps a leaderboard for the tournament. Plus acts as a timer if we need it..
