  1. I still have a bunch of wood from rock the clock that never got onto the fire I'm planning on bringing Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  2. Looks like I am in. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  3. I might be able to make this in April. Can't pull off March. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  4. A big part of the old JC days was spending time hanging out around the campfire. It's how the core group got to be as close as we are now, and how we really got to bring in new people. We haven't really done that outside of rock the clock. I know the state is being more of a pain in the ass then ever. But there are still some large drive up group sites available at bodine field and a smaller campground at buttonwood that we can probably just take over the whole campsite. Running the trails will certainly be different. Need to split up into smaller groups and go out exploring. But we can still make the trip to forked river. And we can still run in Wharton provided that no one does anything stupid. Trying to gain traction amongst the noobs with RTC will be hard. It's a long drive. The trails are scary. But getting noobs out in the pines. Sitting around a campsite. It's damn near like meeting in a parking lot. Just with dirt trails thrown in. And yes. I certainly agree with the timing. There would be certain camping trips I would know about for 2 months in advance. That is needed if your trying to get people out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. About 7 months ago. I plead the 5th on the second part. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  6. So. Heading back from the beach today and hear this loud clunk when stopped at a light. Pulled into a parking lot to check it out. Turns out that somehow both of the bolts holding my brake caliper in place went missing. And that lovey noise I heard was the caliper slamming around after the brakes engaged. Never heard if this one before. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. Wonder if this can be completed in a long weekend? Might be a really nice trip for December. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  8. That little fire worked great. To dry me and and my.....ummm....bed. Was just a pain in the ass to feed the fire with where I had my wood piled. Should have put a little more thought behind laying out my fire and wood. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  9. I don't know. I forgot my bug net at home. Figured I wild have some company with me at night. I didn't have any issues without it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  10. Not sure if I can commit to this date yet. But I did learn I will need an upgraded sleeping bag before this trip. And need to make some alterations to my pack. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  11. I should have some room for some wood. I'll shoot you a message letting you know how much I am bringing up once I have a better idea. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  12. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/military-style-jerry-can-20-liter?a=984598&pm2d=CSE-SPG-15-PLA&utm_medium=PLA&utm_source=Google&utm_campaign=CI&gclid=CjwKEAjwmMS-BRCm5dn51JLbp1wSJACc61tFPZFfI0IjJnEg64A1N0Qo0sqrkad3rBJU8OPO21EXPhoCE1Dw_wcB I picked up 2 of these to use during storm duty for work. Gas was hard to come by after Sandy. Have no complaints. They seem to contain all the fumes. Since I am a 2 door I figure I won't be able to make this trip without using my hitch mounted rack. Going to mount these on the rack to keep them out of the cargo bay. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  13. Nice. Can't get off work Friday. But will be shooting up as soon as I can get out. Might not be able to get there until sundown-ish. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  14. Last minute change in plans. I'll be there. May be running a little late. I'll shoot yu a text. Dont wait up just let me know where your heading and what channel your on. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  15. UV filter was great for hiking. Small east and quick and is now always with me when I go into the woods. But for a trip like this I may be looking into adding this to my gear. https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1751288008861795641?lsf=seller:1209243,store:3530941846620274384&prds=oid:1436585656614746037&q=water+gravity+filter&hl=en&ei=pq7FV6mhIsS1eqGzt7AC&lsft=cm_mmc:PLA_Google_LIA%7C404_10388%7C8664220001%7C85f5a57a-e8d8-4b46-a9bf-11fddc9aa67a%7Caud-196706897080:pla-188341874920&lsft=gclid:Cj0KEQjw3ZS-BRD1xu3qw8uS2s4BEiQA2bcfMw_oGqv7TdyWfS1qvoZqs5Xk4GYxQN1efQy7QW4X76gaAtN88P8HAQ That way I can get to camp hang it on a tree filled with bad water. Let it do its thing. And just fill up all of my water bottles. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
