  3. NJ Pine Barrens Overland Trip

I might be able to make this in April. Can't pull off March. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  4. The Site Is Dead - Life Support Needed

A big part of the old JC days was spending time hanging out around the campfire. It's how the core group got to be as close as we are now, and how we really got to bring in new people. We haven't really done that outside of rock the clock. I know the state is being more of a pain in the ass then ever. But there are still some large drive up group sites available at bodine field and a smaller campground at buttonwood that we can probably just take over the whole campsite. Running the trails will certainly be different. Need to split up into smaller groups and go out exploring. But we can still make the trip to forked river. And we can still run in Wharton provided that no one does anything stupid. Trying to gain traction amongst the noobs with RTC will be hard. It's a long drive. The trails are scary. But getting noobs out in the pines. Sitting around a campsite. It's damn near like meeting in a parking lot. Just with dirt trails thrown in. And yes. I certainly agree with the timing. There would be certain camping trips I would know about for 2 months in advance. That is needed if your trying to get people out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. This is a new one

About 7 months ago. I plead the 5th on the second part. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  6. This is a new one

So. Heading back from the beach today and hear this loud clunk when stopped at a light. Pulled into a parking lot to check it out. Turns out that somehow both of the bolts holding my brake caliper in place went missing. And that lovey noise I heard was the caliper slamming around after the brakes engaged. Never heard if this one before. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. Trans New Jersey Trail

Wonder if this can be completed in a long weekend? Might be a really nice trip for December. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  8. November Minimalist Camping Weekend

That little fire worked great. To dry me and and my.....ummm....bed. Was just a pain in the ass to feed the fire with where I had my wood piled. Should have put a little more thought behind laying out my fire and wood. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  9. November Minimalist Camping Weekend

Not sure if I can commit to this date yet. But I did learn I will need an upgraded sleeping bag before this trip. And need to make some alterations to my pack. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  10. I should have some room for some wood. I'll shoot you a message letting you know how much I am bringing up once I have a better idea. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  11. Colorado 2018

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/military-style-jerry-can-20-liter?a=984598&pm2d=CSE-SPG-15-PLA&utm_medium=PLA&utm_source=Google&utm_campaign=CI&gclid=CjwKEAjwmMS-BRCm5dn51JLbp1wSJACc61tFPZFfI0IjJnEg64A1N0Qo0sqrkad3rBJU8OPO21EXPhoCE1Dw_wcB I picked up 2 of these to use during storm duty for work. Gas was hard to come by after Sandy. Have no complaints. They seem to contain all the fumes. Since I am a 2 door I figure I won't be able to make this trip without using my hitch mounted rack. Going to mount these on the rack to keep them out of the cargo bay. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  12. The Base Camp

Site plan requirement is 5000 Sq ft. This will also require a Soil Erosion and Sedement Control planned signed by a licensed PE. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

  14. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R7LXR7S/ref=crt_ewc_img_gw_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1IGF4J2EDI4OA I have actually had this sitting in my cart in amazon for about a month. Not sure if these will replace my cb (as just about everyone has a cb), but if the range is better than it might be nice to keep one as a backup in case I find myself out of CB range. Provided that another member of the group has one I can communicate with. Thinking of times like when we got separated at Bald Eagle it would help out. Just need to figure out how to program and use these things.
