  4. The Site Is Dead - Life Support Needed

A big part of the old JC days was spending time hanging out around the campfire. It's how the core group got to be as close as we are now, and how we really got to bring in new people. We haven't really done that outside of rock the clock. I know the state is being more of a pain in the ass then ever. But there are still some large drive up group sites available at bodine field and a smaller campground at buttonwood that we can probably just take over the whole campsite. Running the trails will certainly be different. Need to split up into smaller groups and go out exploring. But we can still make the trip to forked river. And we can still run in Wharton provided that no one does anything stupid. Trying to gain traction amongst the noobs with RTC will be hard. It's a long drive. The trails are scary. But getting noobs out in the pines. Sitting around a campsite. It's damn near like meeting in a parking lot. Just with dirt trails thrown in. And yes. I certainly agree with the timing. There would be certain camping trips I would know about for 2 months in advance. That is needed if your trying to get people out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. Trans New Jersey Trail

Wonder if this can be completed in a long weekend? Might be a really nice trip for December. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Gas was hard to come by after Sandy. Have no complaints. They seem to contain all the fumes. Since I am a 2 door I figure I won't be able to make this trip without using my hitch mounted rack. Going to mount these on the rack to keep them out of the cargo bay. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. The Base Camp

Site plan requirement is 5000 Sq ft. This will also require a Soil Erosion and Sedement Control planned signed by a licensed PE. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

  9. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R7LXR7S/ref=crt_ewc_img_gw_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1IGF4J2EDI4OA I have actually had this sitting in my cart in amazon for about a month. Not sure if these will replace my cb (as just about everyone has a cb), but if the range is better than it might be nice to keep one as a backup in case I find myself out of CB range. Provided that another member of the group has one I can communicate with. Thinking of times like when we got separated at Bald Eagle it would help out. Just need to figure out how to program and use these things.

  11. WMMR Day Off in the Dirt at Rausch

Make sure to bring rain gear, change of clothes, extra socks and extra shoes. Still not sure what the weather is going to do tomorrow. But getting wet and cold is a sure way to ruin your day. If you don't have any recovery gear dont worry about running out and getting it. If you need it we will have it.
  12. WMMR Day Off in the Dirt at Rausch

I was doing a little Facebook stalking of our group today. I'm getting a feeling we are going to be taking it slow most of the morning. The plus side is that I think it might be a good weekend to bring the "good pup" along. Want to see how she handles the trails up there. She usually doesn't mind the rougher trails.
  13. WMMR Day Off in the Dirt at Rausch

So. A solid week worth of rain leading up to this. But it looks like fire ban is still in affect. Looks like we will need to simulate our campfire by sitting around a lantern and smoking large cigars.
  14. WMMR Day Off in the Dirt at Rausch

I'm planning on heading up and setting up camp late Thursday. And at least camping Friday night. Not sure if I am wheeling that Saturday or not yet.

Oh..... In that case. Who's camping? Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
