99 TJ Project

Just got done working on the future FIL's 99 TJ. This thing had so much rust on the underside it was getting scary. Spent about 80 hours over the past few weeks. Came out great. Here's a list of what was done at the House Of Magic:

Replaced rear spring pads on axle and correct geometry for lift.

Replaced output shaft seal on AX-15.

Replaced rear sway bar and bushings.

Cleaned all rear brake lines of rust.

Stripped rear axle rust.

Cleaned front and rear diff, replaced fluid.

Replaced tcase fluid.

Trans had water in it. Flushed trans and refill.

Remove rusted brackets from suspension, clean of rust and repaint.

Sanded frame rust and repaint.

Adjust tcase linkage for lift.

Disassemble rear drum brakes, clean, reassemble, lube and adjust.

Adjust parking brake cable.

Sand front axle of rust and repaint.

Replace dirty brake fluid with new.

Sent coil springs to Accurate Machine in Newport DE for bake and blast. They came out fantastic. Can't say enough about Jim at Accurate Machine.

Replaced front and rear shocks with new nitro charged shocks with poly bushings.

Replaced sway bar links with poly bushings.a2ab708848603560ddd02ad7a446f60a.jpgf201512c5fd6012f7d7156f01bfa8422.jpgf6507dfbc0822a7109dc321e4802ba12.jpg82160f92d6bbd304b583e86bf4d60f9e.jpg9fd94fa732f043cd5cb9afa115586e23.jpg02580e793c6f0aa57334893e97903b91.jpg7a862517d57fa61fce97a813782d2fde.jpg5c19ee98f1e35e47106e0fe1df04456e.jpg

You think you could have treated you father in law with an 8.8 conversion with rear disc brakes.
