Recommended Posts

Axle Differential (Front) Mopart Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 80W-90) (API GL-5) or equivalent.
Axle Differential (Rear) 198 RBI (Model 35) and 226 RBI (Model 44) - Mopart Gear & Axle Lubricant
(SAE 80W-90) (API GL-5) or equivalent. For trailer towing, use Mopart
Synthetic Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 75W-140) or equivalent. Models
equipped with Trac-Lok require an additive.
 
Rubicon
Front (44) - 2.7 pts = 1.35 qts
Rear (44) - 4.75 pts = 2.375 qts
 
Non Rubicon
Front (30) - 2.1 pts = 1.05 qts
Rear (35) - 3.8 pts = 1.9 qts
Rear (44) - 4.75 pts = 2.375 qts

No.  I'm going to add my own marks for Front and Rear.

 

Rubicon
Front (44) - 2.7 pts = 1.35 qts
Rear (44) - 4.75 pts = 2.375 qts
 
Might add Non Rubicon
Front (30) - 2.1 pts = 1.05 qts as well

Great idea.  Just make sure to adjust for the bit that the siphon can't suck up off the bottom.

Got that covered. 

 

First thing I checked was that the tube went all the way to the base, which it does.  Second thing will be how much fluid is left after I pump it all out.

Is that a sprayer for liquids? The pump might not be strong enough to push gear oil.

I was kinda thinking that. 85w140 is like syrup.
