Jersey Devil Night Ride - July 29, 2017

34 posts in this topic

Setting the date for the Jersey Devil Night Ride - Saturday July 29, 2017.  We will be meeting up and hitting the trails just before sunset to explore the darker side of Wharton State Forest. All participants are encouraged to go topless and/or door-less to enhance the experience.

Please reply here if you are coming and if you plan on camping so that proper arrangements can be made. Camping location will depend on the number of campers we have. I will set a cut-off date for camping (to be named later) for those looking to join us in a group site. Those not committed by then will be responsible for their own camping reservations and sites.

I will probably need a couple of extra trail guides for this to try to keep groups small if anyone is willing to volunteer.

Going to lock down the camping plans after the Jeep Invasion. Please make sure to let me know if you are coming and if you are camping.

How wet will this run be?  I won't be ready for one of the Warton runs that require a sub marine like we used to. Could ride along.  Not sure if I'm in yet or camping if I am. Just commenting for interesting

You can run a civic back there. Don't let the old JC rhetoric get you thinking you need long arms, 37s and a snorkel.

Ah the old days

Yeah. Let's strike fear into the eyes of every newb so they look at me like a jeep God.

"The car wash!"

"Snorkel"

"High crossing!"

"Snorkel breathers snorkel snokel"

"In or out? "

So, I'm starting to hear of multiple reports that they are no longer allowing night runs in Wharton. I am going to look into this and see if I can get some offical information.
